Brendan Loughnan is the fighter to watch in the PFL.
Brendan Loughnane gets into the biggest fight of his career. The 32-year-old from Manchester, England is looking to become the first British fighter to win the PFL Championship. In order to do so, he would have to go through veteran NCAA Division I champion Bubba Jenkins. Lefnan entered the Pro League in 2019 and will be in the finals a year after losing by split decision in the semi-finals.
Brendan Loughnane turned pro in 2010, and after starting 5-0, he appeared in Ultimate Fighter: The Smash. Loughnane lost in the semi-finals to winner Norman Park but still got a shot with the UFC, losing to Mike Wilkinson in his debut and then letting go soon after. After going the round 11-2, Loughnane appeared in Dana White’s Contender Series in 2019 and defeated current UFC featherweight Bill Algeo, but did not get a contract. He was called up to the PFL after he was not selected by the UFC and Loughnane went 7-1 over three seasons, defeating Ryoji Kudo, Ago Huskic and Chris Wade on his way to a championship.

Since joining the PFL, Brendan Loughnane has followed the adages of ‘strength of intent’ and ‘singularity of purpose’. Loughnane has kept the PFL belt as his iPhone wallpaper since signing with the organization as well as keeping pictures of the belt and a million dollar check with his name around it leading up to the fight. Loughnane respects his opponent Bubba Jenkins but has seen him quit before and will be looking to push him into that spot again.
Loughnane’s opponent, Bubba Jenkins, went 14-4 through promotions like Bellator, ACP, and Brave FC before joining the MFL in 2021. Jenkins also lost in the semi-finals last year, but this season he beat Kyle Bochniak, Reynaldo Ixon, and Ryuji Kudo-On. The road to the championship. This will be a gladiator vs striker match and it will be one of the best fights left in 2022.
